“Mama’s Poem”

Oh, hey
did you see
the sunrise outside
today?

Oh, hey
did you notice
the flowers
singing this May?

Oh hey,
did I tell you
I love you
if not, let me say…

Dear Mama,

I’ll put the sun in the sky
for you to see
because even if it’s raining
the cheery star
for you I’ll be.

If you want I’ll grow you
all the flowers
in rainbow colors
so the hummingbirds will come
for hours and hours.

Whatever you need,
today and forever
I’ll be there to help
Our bond stronger
than even the wildest weather.

Oh, hey did I say…?
I love you
Mama,
Happy Mother’s Day!
