There is a robin
at the window.
The minutes
are slow.
Too many
places to go.
There is rain
on the ledge.
Soft, gentle
drops tap.
Causing energy
to sap.
There is a girl
sitting down.
Legs held down
like lead.
Tummy aching
and unfed.
Exhaustion
is watching her.
Living
is hard.
Visible candor
without a guard.
She doesn’t
move.

Name's Jai Lynn, Jai like blue jay and Lynn which rhymes with sin. Speaking of sins, life is too short to not do what you're passionate about. So, I'm going to write. Welcome to my domain of poetry, short fiction, and (if you look for it) a little magic too.
